It is a great time to be
investing in growth
opportunities within Latin
America; some of the leading
economies of the world are
there. Mexico City alone is
the 5th largest city
population in the world at
21.2 million people. The
world bank forecasts that
the Latin America economy
will grow 4.5% in 2011,
which is 50% higher than
Canada and the United States.
Latin America and the East
Asian Tigers [Hong Kong,
Singapore, South Korea and
Taiwan] are lifting the
world economic tide, showing
more resilience to the
global economic crisis than
the United States and many
European nations.
Miami Herald
In an effort to expand their
industry base, major Latin
American companies, cities
and governments are seeking
new products, services and
opportunities. What makes
this opportunity even
brighter is that Canadian
businesses and technologies
are well respected by Latin
American business leaders.
Trade protocols have already
been established between
Canada and Latin America
making it easy to carry out
business. |
The efforts of Buen dia
to help Atlantic Canadian
export their products and/or
services have not gone
unrecognized. The Regional
Office of the Trade
Commissioner Service in New
Brunswick and ACOA New
Brunswick promoted a pilot
program to acquire and
organize leads for Atlantic
Canadian companies. The
program was a success and as
a result, ACOA and some
business development
agencies in the New
Brunswick, Nova Scotia and
Prince Edward Island support
the program by providing
funds and resources that
help the local companies
research, pursue and
consolidate expansion into
Latin American markets.
A sampling of client

|
“There are language
barriers and
distance barriers
that are very hard
to bridge, but Buen
Dia did an
absolutely
tremendous job
through their
professionalism and
speed of their
service. They have
the Know-how to
establish these
networks and create
contacts and get us
in touch with the
right people that
will help us to
distribute our
product in Latin
America, which is a
market that without
this kind of help,
without this kind of
service, we would
have never been able
to obtain.”
Cody Howell, Sales & Marketing, Howell Ventures |
|
“I was very pleased with the
success that Mr. Barroeta
and his team had in securing
sixteen pre-qualified
meetings in three countries,
given such a short time
frame. The team's efforts,
communication on progress,
and follow up was superior”
Shannon Blanchard, Marketing Specialist, Saint John Port Authority |
